To act with beauty

Fertilized with ideas from the West and fromAsia, "Acting with Beauty" offers a reflection on the aesthetics of movement as well as a meditation on the relationship between action and beauty, dominated by these two questions: Why does action, in order to be effective, gain to be beautiful? Why does beauty require action in order to become real? If the West does not always meet these two contradictory individual requirements (to be effective, to admire beauty), Chinese thought suggests an approach praising movement and gesture combining effectively action and beauty, rather than opposing them.
